The Indianapolis Foundation Grant Round

As one of the nation’s oldest community foundations, The Indianapolis Foundation is proud to partner with and support not-for-profits. The foundation is now seeking funding requests for the first grant round of 2024. The Indianapolis Foundation will preference funding organizations and programs that:
  • Focus on root causes and not symptoms of racial inequity.
  • Support efforts that address and seek to eliminate disparities.
  • Focus on addressing systems-level reforms rather than ‘one-off’ programs.
  • Serve high percentages of under-appreciated, marginalized populations with quality, comprehensive programming with a sharpened focus on outcomes.
  • Are designed with and endorsed by community stakeholders, including residents and those being served by a project.
  • Include a feedback mechanism for residents and populations served to inform programming design and delivery.
  • Possess organizational and board leadership that is representative and incorporative of populations served.

The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund Competitive Grants

The Library Fund accepts general applications twice a year to support innovative programs that are aligned with The Library Fund priorities, The Indianapolis Foundation’s strategic plan, and the degree to which the organization is equity-driven, as measured on The Indianapolis Foundation’s Equity Framework.Libraries eligible to apply to The Library Fund include the Indianapolis Public Library; libraries at IUPUI, Marian University, and University of Indianapolis; and any high school library in Marion County.
Hamilton County Community Foundation

Hamilton County Community Foundation invests in organizations and programs that impact Hamilton County through strategic initiatives of behavioral health, family and youth empowerment, and inclusive economic growth.The foundation is currently seeking requests for general operating support of $15,000 from not-for-profit partners.
